Photo : Marko HämäläinenHere's a one of many pics from last week's show and now me and the rest of our troup avec Lola Vanilla are off on a rodatrip destinated Rauma where we'll do a show! I've made cherry pie cupcakes in leopards molds and burned lots of roadtrip cd's. The sun is hsining, it's hot outside, the dresses, the heels, the lashes and lip glitter are packed so off I go. Oh yeah.

I visit Helsinki frequently and I always wanted to see your show because I'm sure that you're amazing!)It's great also that you make your outfits for the show yourself!It makes your shows even more unique. But the only thing that stops me is that I think the audience in such festivals is...emmm...quite "weird"(as I saw on some photos). I'd like to hear from you if I'm right or not and what shows you think are the best.
Sorry for my late replies but better late than never...
Diva : I'm basically self trained. I've been to some workshops which are great for inspiration or perhaps for a different angle to look at some things, but otherwise I think you can manage well or even better without any classes. But of course one learns along the way, and it takes a lot of practice at home. We rent a dance class where we train with the group once a week and more intensely before a new number, and I practice my solo numbers at home, a lot.
Nataly R : He audience can be rather extravagantly dressed for the burlesque parties, but the atmosphere is very open minded and easy to join. I guess it's more ten club Wanted or the Psychorama happenings that can feel "weird" if one is not used to psychobilly or such. There will be a big happening the 22nd of August on Wanha and I think that can be pretty easily approachable! BUt I still think you could come to any show, as both my grandmother and mom has been to them :)
