EDDI AND THE BOATS

I'm looking at pictures from warmer days and soft evenings last year. Oh summer!

At a time when you nostrils freeze together after standing some two hours outside loading a ship it always feels as strange to think that six months earlier we were, and six months later we will be walking around in sandals and short sleeves. The temperature difference will be some 45-50 degrees C. Sometimes even as much as 60.
That's pretty extreme.

Although it's very very beautiful outside it is still painfully cold and I can't wait for warmer days again (when I don't have to stuff myself that much anymore- or at all). Oh summer!

I'm also waiting for some warmer days...
And in Belgium it's not even that cold, I think minus 5...
How could I ever survive in the north :o).

I don't remember a winter this cold in Ireland ever before. It's snowing most days and still hasn't melted from 2 weeks ago. I'm definitely dreaming of long hot summer days and evenings eating and drinking al fresco.

I would actually like some colder days here (Greece)...the temperature is about 15 C, not much of a winter this year...so many pretty scarfs and coats waiting in the closet!!

Great photo. I'm feeling cold enough just walking to the shop I work in, let alone working outside!
Sandals aside, I'd even like to be able to walk to work in something other than wellington boots at the moment, I have suede boots that are calling me!
I'm feeling nostalgic for those long, meandering evenings now...

Having always lived (and loved) Australia, I hadn't really gotten to experience freezing cold winters followed by extreme heat summers. That is until I decided it'd be a great idea to travel to Canada. When I left home about a month and a half ago it was 36 Degrees C. And I arrived in Banff, Canada to where they were having record breaking colds of -30+ degrees C. I now know EXACTLY what you're talking about with all the layer and layers of warm clothes, just to have to strip them off in time for summer. It's amazing.

Sinttura : Photoshop: levels, curves, desaturate, texturate>grain>vertical, vinjetti piiretty mustalla ja burnilla :)

The Girls Brushed Red : That must have been pretty heavy for a first-time-cold experience :)
