BANGS.

Faux bangs. As in faux-faux, truly fake, not the one you create by rolling your hair into a fringe, but as in clip-ons.
But you can't really tell can you?
Mine is made of human hair and bought form Cybershop.

A bit too peroxide toned when it arrived, I have coloured it more into my own (or, should I say "own") shade at the hairdresser's and slightly re-styled it.(My hairdresser calls it "The Rat". Not like the rat you roll our hair with but the actual animal; it was a sad little grey piece of lump during the colouring, hence the name. Now I will have to colour the poor little rat again the next time I go to the hairdresser for The Big Change. Ahum. Nothing. Forget that. Ladi dadi da. *whistles*)

(The dress is my newly arrived Americana Dress from Trashy Diva)

Love it! I'm in the bangs/no bangs dilemma since my bangs is down below my nose now and it's oh so annoying.. Maybe I should get me one of those!

I love fake hair (which is odd when its human hair, but I guess still fake because it is not one's own), and I've got quite a collection of it. Saves my real hair some of the damage. Yet I would have never guessed that this was not your "own".

Big Change....can't wait.

Wow, now I see what you mean... cool. Your new ratty friend looks really real! BUT new change? Ooh, intriguing! Can't wait to see :D

Big change eh? Are you going red? Say you're going red cos that would be awesome. Something bright! :-D

You look so lovely! I'm in the same boat as well with the bangs and now I know just what to do! xo

p.s. can you use a hot iron on these? did you? because the website says that you can so I was wondering how you fixed them. :)

Blue Moon Dame : It's very comfy and super-versatile!

Archives, Fröken Elina & Lisa Marie : yes I've been back and forth of growing out my hair only to cut the bangs back again but now I'm sticking to my little Rattie! And since itäs real hair you can hot iron it.

...and I'm afraid the Big Change won't be as big as to go red, it's more of a sacrifice of my vanity in order to get my hair back in shape. Well, you'll see...

cool, didn't know it existed, and didn't saw it untill I read the text!
Makes a person face look so different, it suits you but still prefer you without it (or with a 'rolled up fringe')

Love the dress on you! tres classy tres chic. I got a question about the TD dresses: do you wash them yourself or get them dry cleaned? I know the label says dry clean but is that really necessary?

love your blog;)

Sueper : yes, I've cut my bangs back every now and ten but now decided to grow them away for good; they make me look cuter I think but I thin i look better wihout them :)

Maja : Naah, the ones that are cotton I wash in the machine like all my other cotton garments. Or, I do put the gentle program on. They turn out fine :) But the silk dress I only dry clean.

I admit I'm not entirely convinced by the bangs, but I also think blonde terribly difficult to match. Thoroughly and utterly won over by the dress.

such a good idea to have clip on bangs! i have never seen these before in England.

they look so convincing (and really suit you). i really want some, but have no idea where to get them from in the UK?

Lovely! This dress has been on my Trashy Diva wishlist since it went up on the site a couple of weeks ago. How do you find the fit? I am bit concerned it may not be very slimming on me on the top half.

The Freelancer's FashionBlog said...

Hope 505 : :D

Izzi & Binia : I'm sure they are sold at salons or such. But most likely in some on-line store? Google ahoy!

Ellie : I did have to colour them a couple of times to get it my shade, but it's hard to keep as my shade changes the more weeks away from my latest salon visit I get...

Lucindajane : I love the cut on the dress! It's very late 50's. But as the waist is cut short it won't really give you a slimming effect on the upper half I think, especially if you have a larger bust. But you can cinch in your waist rather well!

Oh thanks! I was worried that the combination of the belt and narrow neckline might not be flattering on me as I have quite a big bust. I think I will get the Courtney Coat Dress instead as the neckline is wider. There are so many beautiful dresses and blouses and jackets on the Trashy Diva site, I find it hard to cut down my list of wants for when payday rolls around!

thank you for the cleaning advice;)

Love your site and love the dress too! I find that sizing with Trashy Diva dresses is hit and miss depending on the cut/fabric. I have the size 10 in the cotton 1940's style which i love but the top fits like a straight jacket (when usually the 10 is fine). Thinking about getting the Americana in the cobalt but note sure about the size. Does it have any give in the bust?
Thanks!
