MAKING A WAVE / BY THE MAKE-UP TABLE

Concentrate...

concentrate...

concentrate...

That's it!

And now I'm off out to town for my sister's fare-well party from the harbour! In high waisted trouser and high heeled brogues but no time for pictures on that. And one has to leave a little for the imagination you know.
Have a nice Saturday night y'all!

so cute! I have a hard time with curls, my hair is too fine and always slips out of my hands

Melina Bee : Sweetheart after a decade of bleach you will be able go twist your hair into any curls you prefer... :)

Frollein : oh, can't wait :) The perfumes are Chanel no5 (the original and the elixir, pretty much the only ones I use) and Elisabeth Arden's Provocative Interlude.

You look gorgeous!

You need to post pictures of these brogues! I've nearly worn my beloved pair to death :-(

I think chanel no5 suits you very very well...!!

I recognized your Chanel bottles, but I must admit that I don't know so much about Elisabeth Arden perfumes.. There aren't many of us using Chanel "at this age".. Sadly most of my friends still thinks it's "grandmotherish", but in my opinion Chanel no5 (and especially eau de parfum version) is the queen of all perfumes ever.

I just discovered your blog thru elegant musings. How on earth do you make that wave? Please please please share! I have never been able to.

Rebecca : I mostly roll my outgrowing bangs in thsi fashion: http://freelancersfashion.blogspot.com/2010/05/five-minute-pinupish-tiki-inspired.html
with two or three curls rolled inwards. I amke them a little mroe standing than the ones in the link, and more often roll them with heat then by pincurls. After that I brush it trough and form the wave tha way I like. I this style, I sprayed a bit first and then pinned it in place, pushing the hair like I wanted it, shaping it, then pinning tightly. Spray again. always spray rather lightly so the hair does not get too hard).

You can leave some of the pins in if you like or remove them all.

Hope this helped?
:)
