STUFF I REALLY LIKE BUT WOULD NOT NECESSARILY GO FOR MYSELF

Pt.2

Knee-high lace up boots. Preferably in colored suede.
I actually wished for red ones like this in a post many many years ago.
But if I had a pair I would most likely never wear them. I just like the thought of such. But boots like this requires a hem that stops at the knee or above and I want my hems to go over my knees.

Which takes us to the following;

Short striped dresses.
I never feel comfortable in short dresses though. Or, it depends a bit on the cut, but anything a little more slim does not work for me.  It's because I picture my legs like a pair of chicken legs. I mean, not the ones that stick out form beneath the feathers of the birdie, but the ones you eat; the way they look when you grill them. Broiler.
Many maternity dresses are pretty short, and I get it; it's to avoid the 'tent-look'.  But ehrm, about 75% of my pregnancy kilos have missed the belly and settled on my hip and thighs (thanks!), and although I still think pregnancy is more forgiving -as focus is on the belly and the rest is just OK -I'll still just stick to liking short dresses instead of actually wearing them.

Huge hats.
Or, I do have a huge sun hat like this, as you may remember. But I only wear it for, eh, sunny situtations. Not on town. But I still like the look of it.

And of course, all of the above togheter!

Fun post! I have the exact same thing with the huge hats. I love them so much and I already have one, but I feel awkward wearing them except when I'm going to the beach or something...

oh man, I'd love lace up boots like that and I'd wear the crap out of em. I am the opposite of you hemline wise: I rarely feel comfortable with anything below my knee and honestly, the shorter the better in my book. I guess we can go ahead and live vicariously through each other!
it's funny for me to think with all the amazing looks you pull off/inspire me with, that there's any trends you think you wouldn't rock, but everyone has their habits I guess.

I bought myself a huge hat this year, just because I love the look of them so much. I haven't ventured out of my backyard yet wearing it, though, I am just not sure if I am pulling it off!

Your illustrations are so cute! I'd love to have such a cute alter ego through which I could live my fashion cravings...

Got the boots (purple ones) and the short striped dresses. Well, regarding the huge hat, I tried but my head seems too small...
Hope end of pregnancy is going well.

Haha, pitää tsekata! Mistä tiedät että koko oli liian pieni? Jos sulla on sellainen komerossa, voisin ostaa ;)

Aino : Ei oo komerossa :/ Mut oletin et on liian pieni koska mul on yleensä UK 10 tai 12 (tai jopa 14) riipuen merkistä, tai US 8, muutama mekko 6 tai 10... Punaisena sen sais kyl UK kymppikoossa kans, hmmm... Laadusta en tiedä, mutta kivannököinen on. Atom Retrolla on muuten aika paljon kivoja mod mekkoja! Ja niin, ahum, kohta lisään taas sen mun niiden affiliate bannerin tänne blogiin nii jos haluu sieltä jotain ostaa nii pääse myös mun linkin kautta sitte :D
