We're back in the city and I'm able to walk normally again (well, almost) and took Dag out for a walk to the park in his new pram. I wanted to take a photo from the same spot that mom has a first-walk photo with me of, but that whole lawn is dug up and full of pipes and tubes and building barracks due to some, uh, pipe-thing.
(And yey! I'm wearing my new dress which almost fits me - it gaps a bit in the waist but give it a few more weeks and many walks I'm thinking I'll be wearing lots of my other dresses too. Fingers crossed... This two-piece dress is Bettie Page clothing from Miss Bamboo in case you were wondering.)

I'm amazed you wear hills :) I don't think a lot of mums will have opportunity to do that. Good luck with this and other dresses. I'm sure there will be no problem!
I'm amazed they tell us you recover from natural births quicker, when that's not always the case. My daughter was born by C-section (a choice that had to be made so that we'd both live) and I was taking her for the first walk 6 days later. I kept walking, she enjoyed it and in 4 weeks I could fit some of my pre pregnancy clothes. Tight jeans on a C-section tummy is out of the question though. When I was still in hospital, 4 days I stayed, there was medical students that came to see my scar and the doctor marveled at how quickly it was healing. He put it down to benefit of youth, I was only 22 at the time.
great to hear you're getting back to normal!! such good news - best luck for continued loss of the mummy tummy in time to wear the summer dresses!

Nika Chick : honey it's an ability, not an opportunity ;)
Anpnymous : I suppose it really depends from case to case although in general a vaginal birth should heal quicker.I would have been alright a few days later would it not have been for them having to cut me up down there (twice; it was also a no-other-option case at that moment). I mean it took a few days and many Kegel excersies in bed before I no longer felt my whole lower body was turned inside out, but it was the stitches and terrible wound that has kept me in bed for so long!
You look absolutely stunning! I love the first picture and Dag will be proud of his beautiful mum when he is grown up, I think.
And I'm also glad to hear that you are feeling better now.
Oh dear, how these pics remind me days when I was in same situation as you are now.. That proudness of the baby and eagerness to wear "normal" clothes instead of maternity wear. You look so gorgeous and Dag is really cute.
Happy for you: that you're able to take à walk outside & and wearing à beautiful dress. Most of my clothes won't fit :(
You look great!
I am wild about that first photo. it's a lovely memory. One for a frame on the wall.
Good to see you up and about.
