We had Dag's first birthday party a few weeks after the acutal day on a sunny afternoon. And we managed to get all the painting done just in time! We always think of keeping the kids' birthdays sort of low key with not too many people but we have large families and I always go bazookas with the amount of cakes. And so it was this time, with four cakes and more than thirty people...

A few years ago I discovered you can actually dye stuff, and it's opened up a whole new world for me! (and I still kick myself for some of the things I got rid of because new I think I could have dyed them!)

Great party! it's amazing how Dag looks still like a baby but in the last picture he looks already like a little boy :) they grow so fast! you are one georgeous mamma!
