I got some fabric and some ideas and thought I'd sew myself some stretchy dresses now for the warmer season - I have come to notice very few of my
actual dresses get any "screen time" due to the fact that I am the mother of a toddler. But you know my thesis, comfy and practical can be just as nice as something fancier if worn the right way.
I have a piece of yellow faric and a black lace appliqué I am going to turn into a simple pull-on dress. Before I reach for the scissors I have to make up my mind though, weather should I go for
A) a straight dress
B) an A-line, perhaps a bit shorter dress or
C) a dress with a flared hem.
Hmm hmm hmm. What do you think?

Yellow and black is a lovely and at the same time a bit extraordinary combination in the best way. I think it would be nice to combine the dress with a black beret and black boots but I would prefer number C anyway. I'm looking forward to your decision and how that colour will go with your hair colour.

Aww my vote was for either A or B, but I see everyone else likes C the best!
Since you're going for comfort, I don't think that A is the best option since the skirt might be a bit clingy. I like B better if you are going to wear tights, leggings or boots, and I like C better if you are going to wear heels or mary janes.

all three are lovely but c can be dressed up or down for all occasions and is a bit more fancy :)

I love the silhouette of C. The fuller skirt seems more conducive to toddler activities too - practical!

As a mum with a toddler who will be doing a fair bit of bending I think C is the best all rounder, but because you have a lovely figure A would look great and would also not ride up.
