BUTTERFLIES AND BILLY ROCK

Every little chance I have to get myself all dolled up is welcome during a period of almost constant harbour work - I spend most of the day there in boots and workwear. So even though knowing it would get all painful the day after, as I have early mornings going on, I put on one of my new dresses and joined Ina (who now has a blog btw): & her Mr.T to Storyville's Billy Rock Station Club to see the Go Getters. A great night indeed, but one does get punished for dancing to that sinful rock n'roll music all night long if one has to get up at five the next morning. (And furthermore in not-yet-worn-shoes. Well, at least I've worn them in now:)

Here I am showing off my new dress. The pattern is very strong, I'm not sure about what I think of it but I like it all-in-all anyway. (Well of course since I bought it.)

And showing it off a bit more; yes, it has a big hem.

The shoes are these ones and the bag is vintage from my gran.

So would you not recommend this dress patern? Or is it not your favorite from Trashy Diva? I'm thinking of buying a dress from TD and I have some doubts... any recommendation?

BTW, I love your blog and style. :)

Beautiful dress! Yes going out the night before when you have an early start in the morning is always punishing... but usually worth it at the time!

OH! This dress is amazing! I am making a butterfly and gingham print dress at the moment. Would it be bad of me to buy this one aswell?

You look amazing as always my dear. Your hair is particulary amazing.

Marta : Well wouldnät really recommen or un-recommend any pattern to anyone, since I think patterns are a matter of taste! But it's a great dress and I'd certainly recommend it for everyone in any preferred pattern, I love all my TD dresses :)

Clara Cupcakes : oh no, butterflies + ginham is a totally different thin than just butterflies so you go ahead I say :)

The dress is great, and at least at the jazz club the pattern wasn't looking too strong.

:) Thank you for answering!

Maybe my question was not right, I was not asking about the different prints but the different TD dresses... I think the ashley dress could be my favourite and I was asking you since you have different dresses of this label...obviously not the print, which is of course a matter of taste!

Love it!! You look divine,as usual!

Ina : yes, it kind of "went away" after wearing it a while!

Marta : I just received the Country Club dress which is a model that looks far more great in real life than on the site! But if you want something more covered the Ashley dress is great, I have it and love it. The 1940's dress and aviator dress are also good, they have a slightly wider hem than the Ashley one I think.

Uh! Love the GoGetters! I used to sing some of their songs when I had a rockabilly/swing band. Their version of Teenage kicks is fun!
Maybe I'll send you some my songs via e-mail someday =)

I don't think its too strong, the color is rather neutral. I looove butterflies of course! I'm sure you are told a million times a day how pretty you are. You remind me of the wife from Madmen a little (not the personality of course unless there's a flask under that cardigan).
