VICTORY!

 Remember this dress?
Most of you won't as it hasn't actually been around for real...

But it's this one! The vintage one I bought in advance, just a few days before Dag was born, that I just had to try on a little right ahead (and posted these haha-funny pics of on my facebook page).

Some weeks after labour we were going somewhere and I was eager to wear just any of my dresses. We were in a hurry and I wanted to finally be able to go for this one but it wouldn't fit me at all, in fact I even broke a seam when trying it on. That's when I realized that my old wardrobe which I had been waiting for for nine months would have to wait a long while still. Very frustrating. I actually thought I would never, ever, be able to wear this dress.

But now only a couple of months later it fits me, yey!
Although it's matching belt will need a few more months still, or maybe rather a corset...

The dress is from Vintage Ansa. I always wanted a candy stripe shirtwaist dress. Although this is not really candy striped when you look up close; it has black pattern inside the striped. But I'll save that for some other post.

Woohoo! Ha ha it must be frustrating to have to wait that long for a favourite dress to fit again. Although what am I talking about... I just recently had to pack away half my wardrobe and have a long wait ahead of me too before I can pull them out again. Your dress looks beautiful. x

I like the candy stripes! It took me quite some time to fit into my dresses and jeans after my pregnancies... Unfortunately some of my shoes never fit me again, because my feet were at least half a size bigger :-/

Yay! That's exciting. I have all my clothes sitting waiting and hoping to be able to fit into them soon. I am due in two weeks but obviously it'll be a while longer till I fit into anything. I can't wait to have my waist back so I can wear my vintage dresses again.

That's the thing, you really hope once the baby's born you can return to your old clothes. I wore maternity clothes for 6 weeks after my daughter was born. Then I could fit some normal ones. But it wasn't until 7 months since the birth that I was back to completely before weight, and actually a little less. Which is really only fair enough since it took 9 months to get there! :)

Hurra! Grattis!
