RAW CREAMY BERRY YOGHURT

Here's an easy recipe that once started out as a thick smoothie that I then later started making thicker into a sort-of-yoghurt - not really an actual yoghurt at all, but with a texture and taste that kind of reminds one of it. Maybe one could call it rawgurt.
(Not sure how inviting that sounds though.)

You will need an avocado, (preferably) frozen berries of your choice - I have red wineberries from our garden- , soaked cashews and some fruit juice (I like apple best) or water. I also added a few strawberries that are missing form the pic.

I have a little less tha half a coffee cup of cashews and one coffee cup of berries.

The cashews should soak for a few hours or over night. Rinse them and put everything in a blender with a little liquid to start with and add some more as you mix, a little at a time so that the texture stays fir enogh.
(Almost impossible to get a nice picture of this stage)

Mix until rather smooth.

If the yoghurt feels too sour you can add something to sweeten it up - I added a soft date but a little bit of honey, if it does not have to be vegan, or coconut sugar etc will also do, or some sweet enough fruit.

Enjoy as it is or with seeds or granola on top, or served with fruits.

Next I think I'm going to start trying out chia seeds in puddings and fresh porridges! I've only had them in snack bars so far.

***
Edit: all berries we have here are rather sour. Well I suppose most berries in general are sour with a high acidity (or so). If you however use very sweet stuff you might wang to add a little dash of lemon or lime to get they "youghurty" sour feel to it!

FABULOUS VINTAGE QUEENS

Some fabulous drag queens, female impersonators (an older term for drag queens) and cross dressers from past years.

Harry S. Franklyn, the 1920's.

Tony Midnite, 1956

Drag queen, acrobat and Vaudeville performer Barbette (Vander Clyde) in the 1920's. You can see a lot of photos of Barbette in this Pinterest board for example.

Fanny and Stella, London 1870's.

Parisian drag queen Florin in the early 1900's.

This lady came up on many searches but I don't know who it is.
Edit: I got a tip from a reader that this artist would be Jackie Maye!

Edwardian superstar Julian  Eltinge .

Holli White, 1964 (source)

More from the 1920's and more from Paris; Francis Renault.

And of course one bearded lady at the end.

IN THE BROWN ROOM

So we came around putting "phase 1" in motion in the brown room downstairs. That only took us about a year... Or, phase 0,5 perhaps; just cleaned it out of all trash and extras and placed out the rest random furniture there was in the best way for the moment. Brought in some plants and hung pieces of lace cloth I found at home in the windows, brought in some mats. Old school granny style all the way.

It is the room with the nicest view and the best light in the house. (But before it will be proper we will have to open up the floor all the way to the ground and renew pretty much all layers.)

It's also awesome to notice that the light, just like the darkness at the end of the year does, sneaks up on you in a sort of sudden way,  each year as surprisingly. It is only a mere month left until we are at the  brightest time of the year, and you can tell that already; these pics were taken around nine in te evening.

SIXTIES INSPIRED IN BLUE AND BROWN AND MUSTARD

It always feels like some sort of twisted victory when I have though of sewing myself a piece of clothing but then stumble across it in a store I . Like "oh they have it already now I don't have to do it myself but I kind of wanted to do it but now I will save the time but then again this will cost more but hey, this is instant" .

This dress which is another one of those my-kind-of-sweatpants comfy pieces that I now did not have to sew myself and that already came with pockets (=win) is from Indiska.
