TRASHY DIVA!

I am not much of a shopper abroad; you won't see me come home with half a new wardrobe from my travels. I always stock up on things I need before the trip and then get all modest when away and only feel I can by something if it is really extra spectacular. Or, then I just buy something that's alright because I feel I have to. You see, it is just the internet that brings out the shopping devil in me.

However, New Orleans being one of the main stops at our journey I was very much planning and looking forward to (I was actually ridiculously excited the closer that day came...) do some shopping at one of my absolute favourite stores, you know: Trashy Diva!

First I visited the French Quarter store and they were kind enough to let me take photos there.

So many dresses I didn't quite know where to start!

Although I have quite many dresses from before I now got a chance to try out more of the models and patterns. (Good for future shopping references, hehe. And for the questions I get about styles and fit...) I actually ended up buying some totally different pieces than planned! Although I in the end was rather calm and modest and bought only two (once again, it is only -well, almost- the evil world wide web that makes me splurge).

Pretty!
If you happen to be in town it is also worth visiting the uptown store, they have some pieces from older collections too and the area is nice to stroll around in, although I didn't take any photos in there.

Eddi bought me this one; it was so good on!

Trashy Diva also has a brand new developed website and store where you can shop by print or style. And you will want to visit that site now, as, on to the best part now - I've been looking forward to this Oh Yeah:

Trashy Diva is offering the readers of this blog 20% off a purchase until July 28!

To get the discount use the code: FFB20PER

...happy shopping!

Trashy Diva is just amazing, I LOVE it. Well, shop isn't cheap for me, so I can't afford to buy anything. Maby later, I'll try to lay away some money! Thank you for showing me that heaven ;)

Q's daydream : I have a trixie dress from before so I didn't try this on. Perhaps they've developed the style, but at least the trixie I have is quite easy to wear; I could've taken a size smaller. It's not my favorite model though, but it loks nice around the bust. The print is gret and looks so fresh on; I tried the sweeties dress in the same print.

Oh my, I would LOVE to go shopping there! I've been drooling over the dresses in their online store since forever but I don't have the money and I don't really know how they fit... Someday, I will own one (or two, or three...) of their dresses, I hope :).

Caitlin Anne : it looks even better on! If you have a very large bust or ribcage consider taking one size bigger; you can squeeze it in with the belt in the waist. But for me with large ribs it gets a bit flat o the bust. Not that it really matters.

Dial V for Vintage : The fit is good, alas, TD is one of my favs :) THe size chart on the site is accurate. It was me who suggested the discount to TD and not them, because I know so many say they can't afford their dresses - I thought all of you'd have a better chance to buy now. I don't get any provision of the sales, but I still suggest you take the chance now :)

DAMMIT I just bought my first TD dress online last week – so I missed out on the discount. Oh well, I am sure some other lucky bloggers will get to enjoy it :)

Hubby and I are going to Nola for our 5 year anniversary (we eloped there) so I will be sure to check this store out! I don't remember seeing it, is it new?

I would order a dress, or a blouse or a coat, but I don't know about the sizes, I ususally wear a 40, but but, TD seems to be really small?! I am tall 172 and curvy with boobs and ass, but not fat, not big, well not ssmall either, but not like BIG, a bit voluptuous maybe, so maybe I would need the biggest size.
I am dying to get the courtney blouse in leopard print..and a dress..

The Freelancer's FashionBlog said...

Heidi: no, i think it has been around for many years already.

Lucia : I'm a 36/38, sometimes but not too often 40. I have size 8 in most TD dresses, and some in size 6, depending on the model. The size chart is rather accurate and very helpful, so look at that!

The day dresses, americana and anette are form my experience a bit tight in the rib/bust area but then the sandy, alison, 40's and other similar dresses have lots of room for the bust. The hip is free in most dresses.

I have my regular size in the courtney jacket/dress and it is alright, although bit tight around the ribs if I wear a sweater underneath.
