3 x BREAKFAST

Rye crisp bread with cheese and cucumber is just So Good. And, strawberries in January! Not that they actually taste as good as summer berries, but a small luxury anyway.

Bulgarian yoghurt with honey and almonds plus ecological peanut butter (as in peanuts only, no extras or extra oil, worth the extra money; it's really good!) & jam on  whole wheat bread.

Now this one started out great! Avocado-Cantadou sandwiches and apple porridge with strawberries. Only thing is I accidentally put lemon pepper in the porridge instead of cardamom, as intended.
The result was, unfortunately, uneatable and a lot of cadramom and even sugar on top did not make it any better...

Looks delicious, but easy with the peanut when preggies as it can contribute to lil one having allergies (or so I was told)

Gin Cherry : I think in Finland (or Scandinavia as a whole) breakfasts tend to be very healthy! I can't really enjoy anything too sweet in the morning, except for every now and then of course. I love smoothies in the morning too :)

Mrs Munster : oh, I haven't heard that. Must google up!- I again read about having almonds and nuts a lot because of their healthy fats, vitamins and minerals...

The pictures you take of food are always so colourful and vivid, really shows how delicious it all is (except the apple porridge :P). Not ever being pregnant, I tend to wonder about how many of those food no-no's are actually true...not that i've researched it or anything just mild curiousity

I had the same thing, everyone telling me what I should and shouldn't eat when I was pregnant. As I'm allergic to the whole nuts, seeds posing as nuts (as most of them), I didn't have any during my pregnancy. Now she's nearly 10 and has unfortunately still inherited all my allergies. My only craving was really sour natural yoghurt and I was told not to eat that, nor anything that was raw or half raw (i.e. eggs, fish). So it is boring to eat plus everyone wants to interfere and sees that they're an expert, even though they haven't been ever pregnant. So no, I don't believe you can give your child allergies. If you are allergic yourself, they can inherit those genes, but I don't believe they come through what you eat.

Hi :)

Did you always know that someday you would want kids, or did Eddie just change your life? :D

Love you and your style!

Roxy : first I didn't think I would care that much about recommendations, as they are just that, but as soon as it was for reals I decided I didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. Sometimes it's been a bit difficult, like for the holidays as I don't eat meat, and the fish we eat here (for festive happenings) is raw, plus fancier cheeses are also ruled out. Didn't leave much for me during Christmas :)

Anonymous: recommendations also change according to where you live, in Norway or Japan they can eat raw fish, as it is pretty safely fresh. But over here it's vacuum packed or has traveled for some time and can contain listeria (they made a survey and found it in 25% of all vacuum packed raw fish, ouch!). All fresh milk products are safe over here as they are pasteurized. I have been craving yogurt a lot too, and sour milk, and it's recommendable for me to have that to get enough calcium. Luckily :)

Katja : your profile does not link your blog! It's hard to find :)

Hexotica : yes, it was really really disguisting :P

Bella : Well, I have a post planned about kids actually, I just tend never to actually post those text-posts of mine. But yes, I've always wanted children of my own, even if I'm not a so called "child person" as in, eh, I don't really "like" kids per se. At some point after meeting Eddi I started thinking I don't might not want to have any anymore. But, as he had them already, all the work and life restrictions were there anyway, so I thought it'd actually help to have children of my own (mentally, even if it means more actual physical work). And, like I started, I always thought of myself as to one day have kids. And now we decided that day was coming. It just came a lot faster than expected once we were on it :)

Your pictures are so beautiful, really! And it LOOKS delicious, but I would be starving hungry or have some major bloodsugar rush after 45 minutes with all that carb :) Porridge and bread and fruit at the same meal is a bit too much.. I would change some of it to an egg or 2 and have some nuts or an avocado. But it looks really delicious.

Lucia : Haha, no, carbs have never been a problem for me - I can go a long way out in the harbour on porridge if I have put enough stuff in it. And especially now as pregnant I've been having more carb based food than normally. And an avocado sandwhich keeps me satisfied longer than a plain avpcado would. But it may not work the same way for all stomachs :)

Now it does :) -i hope...

So delicious! What kind of porridge do you use?
It looks so much better than the elovena hetki i am using.
Kind Regards, Mymi
