THE ANNUAL BEST OF GIVE-AWAY

So - we have started a new year and the first week of it. Let's begin the year here with what is turning into a something of a tradition: the new year's give away and your favorite post of the past year!

What was the best post - content or image wise- of 2011? And why?
Link it in the comments!

As usual, I will draw the winner randomly (among those that actually answered something real and perhaps even scrolled past the frontpage...) and the winner will win a small surprise I've picked out. And it will of course be something nice :)
You can see the best of 2010 and 2009  here and here.

Anyone can enter, but be sure to leave me your email if your signature does not link me to a blog or similar! I will drw the winner next Monday, January 9th!

Happy New Year!

The wedding post! I just simply love weddings and you are such a beautiful couple. I wouldn't mind having my ceremony in Las Vegas either but too bad that my other half isn't as keen on the idea.

For me, that's definitely the wedding posts, and especially that one : http://freelancersfashion.blogspot.com/2011/07/wedding.html

Indeed, you got married on the 3rd and my boyfriend and I got married the day after, at the very same venue, with the very same Elvis!!!
( we also went the the Burlesque Hall of Fame, but missed the day you performed with the girls...)

if you feel like having a look at the few pics, you can see them here :http://purrfectkat.blogspot.com/2011/08/cheesy-sparkly.html

there are loads more posts I liked (the rest of the USA road trip, your lovely day fashion posts) and I take this opportunity to tell you that among all the blogs I follow and like, yours is definitely one of my favourites!

take care now! and happy new year!

It was tight competition between the wedding post and the honeymoon posts, but yeah, the first one of the honeymoon posts took the prize this time. The atmosphere in the pics is awesome :)

My favourite posts of the past year was definitely the ones from your US trip! Especially from the south and New Orleans! It looked so atmospheric, exotic and wonderful! Really made me want to go there...

I chose this specific post though, because it has a lot of the things I like about you and your blog! The gorgeous Trashy Diva dress, and your creativity with styling and hair. I stick pretty much to one era, but I love that you don't and I always find your looks inspiring. Keep up the good work!!

love this hairstyle very much. I like it because it is a tutorial with lots of pix added in....I espcially love the last fast forward version of the tutorial.

Dear Ulrika,
as so many other readers I love the wedding posts too, but my favourite post is the Sunday school teacher. The great contrast between the good girl attitude with her nice dress and blouse and the red velvet heels makes me laugh and there's so much truth in it. Often women try to be good girls but inside there's a small and secret wish to live an exciting and dangerous life with more fun and adventures. Thank you for sharing your pictures and thoughts. Have a happy New Year!

Choosing just one is really hard. I was trying to decide between the wedding, the burlesque pics of April and the birthday. Finally i've decided on this:
http://freelancersfashion.blogspot.com/2011/10/thirty-years-ago.html
I don't really get why but it makes me feel sentimental and i just couldn't stop smiling while comparing both pictures!
The second place goes to this:
http://freelancersfashion.blogspot.com/2011/10/birthday-party.html
because i'm a real sucker (no pun intended) when it comes to True Blood!
All the best in the New Year and many many new posts we will all enjoy!

Really, I love all your fashion photos, but because I've been really feeling a major pull to make my own fur collar for my overcoat, this would have to be the best for me. Of course your post revealing getting hitched in Las Vegas would be a close second! You looked so amazingly retro fab, like always!

It's a simple question you asked! I love your post on the eternal roll you did on february (and I had to look in my favourites' page when did you post it because, yes, i have it in my "hair" pages selection): I love your tutorials and I like seeing you going from natural to dolled up. Of course I loved when you announced that you had got married or specially the posts about the hotels you where staying at but I hope you post some more tutorials this year!
Have a nice 2012 and keep blogging :)

I'm going with the Sparkling legs rehearsal pics with the Itty Bitties. I love all your posts with the troupe but those sparkly fishnets and shoes were so cute I had to go take my own amateur Burlesque class shortly thereafter. I needed an excuse to wear fishnets!! Alas I couldnt find sparkly ones and I elected to be the maid in the show with only a knickers flash, but it was such a fun memory...inspired by you Bitties and the fun you share with us in your blog posts. Happy 2012 to you your family and the Bitties.

Well this was a little hard to choose... So I had to get it down to 1... And while I loved the unveiling of you new hairstyle and the dress in Snip Snap it's completed I couldn't really see the dress so... I have to go with...

I started reading your blog for the vintage hair and fashion. But I've realized over time that I keep coming back because of all the other interesting stuff you do too.

My favorite:

It somehow makes you seem that much more real, or more familiar or... well, I guess more like I actually know you. Plus, I'm really into the way you've done your home. AND the whole home saga (I remember you moving and it being your grandmothers and the remodeling). I love all the posts, but this one was exceptionally nice.

All the best for 2012 and I look forward to reading more in the future (including all the great baby stuff!)
