FIRST OF MAY

Today we celebrated a rather warm and sunny first of May the usual way (only sans all the dubious amount of the usual bubbly for me); in the park in town and later having brunch.

I'm wearing my custom made mommy-dress, but made the bust line a bit more modest by wearing a blouse underneath. (From Tara Starlet, if interested. I can only close the first button but no biggie as it does not show from under the dress...)

First of May is the only time of the year when one - unless at certain "sittings" (dinner parties) if active at student organizations at university - wears the graduation cap. The parks in town are like a sea of white caps during May Day.

The May Flowers are sold by kids just before and during May Day; most of the income goes to charity. There's a different colour for the flower each year. I used to sell those too.
But that was many many years ago.
