PAPER, LACE AND ROKOKO
Les Trois Inventeurs -The Three Inventors- is a cake paper, lace- and paper cut (you know I love aper cuts too, like the works of Rob Ryan for example!) stop motion animation by Michel Ocelot from three decades back. It's incredibly detailed and beautiful and also the kind of work that makes me anxious trying to imagine myself doing it. So I try my best not to :)
You can watch the little sad story here:

THE BEGINNING, THE END, AND EVERYTHING THERE IN BETWEEN
You know I'm a big fan of animations of different kind, especially stop motion.
I'm also intrigued by so called street art; big fan of Banksy.
This is by Blu, and it's amazing:
It's a little long, I know, but worth watching!
(And as usual thinking about the making of gives me a headache...)

A COMBINATION OF TWO THINGS I LOVE
My 500th post will consist of two things I like a lot - photoshop and cooking! And not to forget, stop motion animation too.

SWEET
You all seemed to like the cream whip rings in my previous post a lot, so here's some more sweetness for all you sweet theeth out there:
I've stumbled upon the great works of Kristen Lepore on some forums and blogs lately. I love stop motion animations you know!
(And as usual I go a little bit crazy thinking of all the work behind the small masterpieces.. You can check out a quick making of for this film here :)

AMAZING
I found this one via Pekka. It's rather amazing.
Well worth the twelve minutes of watching. Can you believe all that was done by computer?

SWEET TEETH
The mail man dropped something very nice through the mail drop this morning; my Milk Toof book I had ordered not that long ago but almost forgot about already! Which of course made me very happy since I've been in love with these small theeth a long time.
Oh ♥

If some of you are not familiar with My Milk Toof yet, I suggest you take your time and browse trough the whole site. You'll love it! It's the sweetest blog I know. The book is sold out by now though, but I'm happy I was there in time to get myself a copy.

SOULSAVER'S CLOSER / JO JO IN THE STARS
This one is beautiful and sad.
Please watch the whole story and it's ending here.
(The song is by Soulsavers. If you want a bit more meat on the bones listen to the ones with Mark Lanegan and Mike Patton. And who wouldn't want that on a grey and gloomy Sunday like this.)

LUNCHTIME
(And pasta and spaghetti westerns as well :)
But there's also something terribly wrong with me since I (like mentioned before...) just can't enjoy these without thinking about all the work behind it and that gives me a slight headache. And makes me a bit jealous too.
