STRANGE NIGHTS IN NICE HAIR

Sometimes things go like this...

Last night was the weirdest in ages! You could've though it was full moon...
(Have to add that I have the best friends in the whole world btw)

I went out with Julien, K and the other K and Ina and my evening started out as a disaster - leaping out a bit to quick from the taxi when arriving to this terrace-party-thing we were going to the slit of my dress broke (crappy quality!) making it a bit longer than ment to be - it ended just where my bum begins and for every step I took I was mooning a bit more. I figured I had three options :
1) tear the dress up all the way and wear it as a nice apron / just take it off and be in my underwear the rest of the night, either calling it a modern burleqsue-inspired art performance or a bachelorette party
2) taxi home and change, and taxi back or
3)be a wallflower for the rest of the night (hell no!)
...neither of which were that tempting. At that moment I was quite happy to realize that K is always late and was that yesterday too, luckily still at home, so we called her and asked her to bring needle and thread. When she arrived we leaped into the bathroom and ten minutes later the problem was solved. It was quite funny actually now afterwards.

Well, the night might have been weird and all but at least I had a fancy hairdo. I've just found those youtube tutorials everyone's been referring to here and there and I was inspired a bit by this video. That girl has amazing hair and does great hair-do's so check her videos out!

It didn't even take me that long to do this hair, but it's maybe because I twirl my hair quite often in a similar style anyway.

(I should colour my roots and get some more light-coloured bobbypins btw. Well, now to meet some friends for Sunday drinks. Over and out).

I always carry a small case with a needle and 4 tiny spools of thread in different colors, a girl gotta be prepared. :)

Your hair is absolutely fab.

hehe I'm glad the evening was fixed up. Your hair looks so great, makes me want to do mine ie. more than show it the hair brush.

I've seen this video and others, i'll try to do the same but it's very difficult, no ?

Doriz Jeltsin : thanks :)

Little Rascal : I always used to carry one of those sewing-kit packages, some safety pins and a nail file in my bag before but for some reason I'm not that well equppied anymore. Must update my purse!

WendyBTHanks. I like glam.

Betty Lou : tackar tackar. Det är alltid lika roligt att tjusa upp sig och sedan gå ut :D

Esme and the Lane Way: its worth trying some new styles seomtimes, it can also be quite funny

Oriane : well yes and no... if you can roll you hair into a loop you can do quite many nice things easily... Ihave some shorter hairs among the long ones which makes it a bit difficult for me to get my hair rolled properly but practice makes master. And I always make my own versions of certain styles, you know, what suits my hands better.

Your hair is amazing!
I am invited to a wedding in Spain in august and I'm thinking about wearing orchidées in my hair.
Nice inspiration!

Jättefin i håret! Önskar att jag hade förmågan (tålamodet) att göra andra frisyrer än en knut på huvudet!

Oriane said...

But you don't need rollers (curlers ?)to roll up hair around ?

The Freelancer's FashionBlog said...

Annabananna : hah yeah that pic is quite funny :)

Démo : It will propably look really great with orchids in you dark hair!

H : som sgat så ger övnng färdighet och sedan kan man göra en massa frisyrer ganska lätt tillslut!

Oriane : depends on what kind of roll you want to do! For these I only roll around my fingers.

SuperKawaiiMama just posted a tutorial in her blog about how to roll and I think it's quite easy to see what she is doing in the video. I roll my hair the same way and just fasten it a bit differently depending on how and where I want the roll to be.

... I forgot to add that it takes a few times of practice to do the roll. It's not that easy the first times.

Amazing hair, lady. I don't have enough of it for that particular style, but will have to dredge around for these YouTube tutorials. Sounds like a goldmine!

Your hair looks amazing! Although I do have to admit, seeing you sitting in the bathroom fixing your skirt, tickled my funny bone! :) Im glad you were able to take care of the small mishap and enjoy your evening though!

Lovely hair! I always have a problem with my back hair (how should one call it, a mullet?), since it's not long enough to look good just like that or curled. Side hair is quite easy to handle these days, but I have no clue what to do with the back. So I just bobby pin and forget about it (it's easy since I can't see the back of my head :)

Du gör fantastiska frisyrer och när jag se dem önskar jag bara att mitt hår kunde växa sig långt på tre röda sekunder. Så himla snyggt!!!

Anonyous : Next time come and say hi! :)

Sal : Thank you. Those videos are uite amazing and maybe you can modify your own version with "less" hair ?

LadyBelladonna : Yeah that really was a funny episode and we all laughed so much t the picture afterwards...

Alicepleasance : you should just do it gilr I bet it would look great!

Anna : Due to some requests I think I'm going to make a hair tutorial for short hair using Ina as a model... She has it short in the back too. I'm pretty sure there are many ways to "fool" it longer!

Pretyy Pirate : THank you, enjoy the videos. THey really made me want to do all hair styles...

Miss Woo : yup flowers really make the hair look a lot fancier...
Haha and yey for nightclub sewing indeed :D
