SCANDINAVIAN MONSOON / DAYMDREAMING / LAZY

Light knit dress - Diesel

I haven't worked for almost two months.
I had decided to pull myself togehter this week.
Get started with the 'to-do' list. Get up early, work, work out.

Maybe it's this constant summer rain, the humid, pressuring weather that's to blame, but I've gone up from bed around one in the afternoon and at four I'm still stitting in my underwear surfing the internet, opening work files but being totally uncapable of actually doing something with them. I only get out when it's already dark. Still managed to get out of the house a bit during daytime today and go to the gym. Then back home to doing nothing again - sitting by the window looking out. Feels like we have our own little monsoon here in scandinavia going on right now.
It rains a couple of times a day.

Haven't had my hair like this since I was a little girl.
Used to call it princess-hair.

Maybe I should open up my braids, let them out the window like Rapunzel and wait for a prince to climbe up. (Ha! In my part of town, not likely.)

Well, I wouldn't want any prince anyway.
But I would let Batman in though.
Then we'd leave togheter.

Your hair looks SO good. I know what you mean about idling the day away, that's for sure. The more time I have, the less I do.

Your hair looks so pretty! I wish I could do mine like that, I've tried to do so a few times but failed miserably..!

Wendy B : It's so strange, because I still feel like 24 hours of the day is noth enough. Shoudl just learn to use my time better. OR, to enjoy the vacation without any guilt of slacking around...

Emily Rose : It quite much depends on how you fasten your hair - it has to feel secure and comfy. And then the pins shouldn't show too much. Practice makes a master.

Mrs. Munster : THank you. I'm quite content with the way they turned out too. (I really love my new camera!)

I've been in the same kind of mood for the last couple of weeks - I work from home too. Instead of the heat and humidity making me lazy though, it's the winter cold! :) It is difficult to get motivated sometimes. I tried to work yesterday and opened up some files, but I ended up just staring at them.

Your hair looks lovely!

Your cats are so handsome!
Very healthy looking fellows. They say a camera "adds ten pounds" but not for cats! *heehee! Give them a snuggle for me I miss my kitty so much....

A Cat of Impossible Colour : I have this feeling I will be better at working in autumn, that is somehow work-season, but we'll see...

Hope505 : Ny cats sure are healthy and fine. Pekka is so huuuuge, he's 7 kilos! I'll give'em a snuggle from you for sure!

I think I'd prefer Joker over Batman. Seems like a lot more fun.

Love the hair - I must admit, I have something very similar as my day-to-day style! So perhaps I'm biased.

Sometimes it's hard to get yourself out of a creative "down", isn't it? When it happens to me I try to submerge myself in lots of things that inspire me - films, books, music, museums, long lonely walks in the park... Re-stocking the inspirations pool...

That hair-do is one of my favourites! It's simple, pretty and very practical. I usually put it up after showering, when my hair is still a bit wet. If I pin it well it will stay in place for two-three days! If you want to save time in the morning (like me), this is great. Princess-hair was a cute name for it, but I use to call it "margaretaflätor".

And I know this feeling of "regn-förlamning", when you don't feel like doing anything, even though you should. And all those "shoulds" eat you up...
At least you still look pretty. ;)

hi! I love your pictures, as always! My question is, where did you buy your earrings? Have been on the look out for exactly those, but haven´t found them anywhere.

Your hair looks gorgeous this way. I would run away with Batman as well. I never understood the point of helping the prince up into the tower...wouldn't she have been better off cutting off her hair and using it as a rope to climb down?

Hi!

First time here. Love it.

I'm feeling lazy too. Like I haven't done anything for weeks. Next week, I'll travel. Not too far (don't have money enough!), but i'll go to Paris, to visit some friends of mine. Traveling is my answer to melancholia. By the way, have you read "Anatomy of Melacholia"? (sorry, i'm not so sure about the english tittle, well it's from E. Burton).

Anyway, I love you style, you've got a real one, that's what I like a bout you. You make me think about Gwen Stefani. A bit.

See you soon,

Lucile

I've been rocking the braids a lot lately, it's so great for summer. Yours are cute, I like the way you tied them up on top.

The last pic reminds me of our cat who sneaked out from an open balcony window, which I had left open. My boyfriend got home and saw our cat outside the window. Luckily enough, she hadn't fell. Now we can't let her to go to balcony, cos she does anything to open the balcony windows...

It's been in the air, melancholy and such. All I've done, though, is work work and work. It helps a bit.

Love your hair, once again :) And once again I say I cannot wait for my hair to grow longer :)

Batman's hot in a bat-like way but I still would prefer Joker.

Are both of your cats black (and in that one picture) or is it just two pictures of the same cat on top of each other?

Like everyone else, I love the braids! I've seen braids around a lot lately; I'm happy they're back. They're so pretty and such a nice change from ponytails and buns.

It seems that you still have the sensitive feelings of a lovely lassock. I like your black cats and you just behave leisurely and elegantly like them.
