This dilemma must be spread world-wide...I seem to have it here in Canada too...

You are most definitely not alone, as I have the same problem too!

Similar problem for me too. In my case , it must be because of not having enough separates....

Have a sort out and put some of the clothes you don't wear as often on Ebay then use the money you make to splash out on some new stuff. All wardrobes need refreshing every now and then

I truly feel like I don't have a large enough wardrobe (I'd like every piece in yours ha!) but at the same time, I feel a bit guilty at the thought of buying an 11th scarf or 19th skirt..what can I say, I'm a true Taurus, I like things lol. I feel like I haven't a thing to wear sometimes and it's moreso because I really do have a Californian wardrobe..I need more Autumn/Winter items..oh the dilemmas we all seem to have!

I have the same problem!
But I very often fluctuate in weight (like a couple of sizes..), so I always want to wear something that I don't fit into at that moment :p!
Oh, the problems we have ;-)!
Sarah (the Dutch one)

P.S. Looking at your closet makes me happy! Is that wrong :p?

But seriously, I understand you so damn well! It's a typical female thing, I guess!

something bad happened. there must have been someone in my bedroom who stole my complete winter wardrobe. I don't have a single warm knitted jumper, and I only have two cardigans ? how come that these two cardigans don't go with any of my dresses ? I desperately need ten more warm tights, a pair of boots ( I mean a really warm pair if it snows, and maybe one for nicer weather ) and none of my coats has the correct length. all of my gloves don't match with the two winter caps I have. why do I have only two winter caps ? where have all the others gone ?
the funny thing is : today I am wearing my shirt that says : I have nothing to wear, I have nothing to wear, I have nothing to wear....

and it's so true.

all the tops and dresses I own, they only have 3/4 sleeves. I definitely need a cozy cardigan right now !!! and maybe a scarf or a cape, in case it gets reaaaaally cold....

I am not angry if you delete this comment. it's not even funny. but very true !

Lucy Nation : yes honey but sorry it doesn't work that way. Half of my closet consits of ebay boxes already :D

The Retro Natural : I still envy you in a warmer climate, becuase you have one less phaze to worry about: the minus a lot one :)

Sarah:Yup. I have been ill for more than a week, just lying in bed, eating, so nothing tight will do for the moment. That means all pencil skirts are out!

Frollein von Sofa : oh yes, I feel you. Some new cardigans would solve a big deal I think. All mine feels crappy for the moment. NOt to mention all my tights have disappeared or are lying on the floor which means I can't use them...

I have the same problem, i have lots of pretty dresses, skirts and vintage but nothing casual, nothing that i can just chuck on fast.

But i am loving the fact your BooBoo Kitty Couture skirt takes centre place in your wardrobe.

And thats another thing, i have lots of skirts but no tops!

Aaaggh the perfect wardrobe is s holly grail!

You always can give me some of your beautiful dresses ;) And have your wardrobe more spacious ;)

We've all been there. A closet full of clothes and not an item that will do. Your photographs are lovely. :)

I spent this christmas reading a great book called How to be a woman by Caitlin Moran. She talks about woman and image and reclaiming feminism (very pro burlesque) and ays this:
“When a woman says, ‘I have nothing to wear!’, what she really means is, ‘There’s nothing here for who I’m supposed to be today.”
