A FEW NICE SMALL THINGS RIGHT NOW

I'm enjoying some nice new things for the moment:

Orchinds for my hair I got from darling Rascal...

...which goes perfectly well toghether with my lovely new bikinin, made from a vintage fabric, that I got as thanks for posing in it. It was such a fun shoot (and it's coming up later here)!

Dryshampoo. It really does magic. And is easier and more fresh than the old school way of brushing talc in the hair, so it's worth a try if you have long hair like me that takes forever to dry for example.

The Hawaian themed pattern on my newly thrifted 50's full cirlce skirt (from Ansa).

Oh yeah, and last but not least: my new tattoo! Made by Sailor andy, as usual.

Marie : Thanks!

Ina : Walk in Friday...

Salla : thanks :) Andy really does great work (and so does the other guys at Legacy too). And I really love the skirt too!

Wanja B : thank you for that!

Sal : First I though of it slightly smaller but Andy was all "what the hell, there's room for a big milkshake here". The biger the better I guess :)

Wendy B : Oh yeah, I am totally reborn here ;)

Miss RedLips: it was really worth the buy, my hair was easily styleable after that and stayed well in shape the whole day!
Parapluie & Janettaylor : thanks, the bikini is hand made by Tyra Therman. I will post more of hter swimsuits here soon!

I just started using dry shampoo too, and I'm loving it. It's especially great for the fringe which tends to get oily faster. I have been using one by a french line but just picked up new one which has been around for years. This was, of corse, right before my boss told me that Tigi stated making one, so that will be the next one I try. I love that hawaiian print skirt, lovely.

Sailor Andy osaa vaan parhaiten !

The Freelancer's FashionBlog said...

Pretty Pirate : Yes dry Scahmpoo really is great for a quick fresh up on the fringe indeed!

Tuuli : Kurvista, mun kampaajaltani! Hämeentie 37

oh hehe how cute an ice cream tattoo!! :)

Anonymous said...

can you do a tutorial for the hairstyle you are wearing?
it looks easy but I am even all thumbs when it comes to doing a ponytail, so I would really appreciate it!

Love your tattoo/s. Been thinking of getting one myself :) The only thing that's keeping me back from getting some peacock feathers on my back, is that it'll cost a fortune! (and I still have to get the courage) How much have you paid for your tattoos? Anyways, love your style. Keep it up beaty! :)

The Freelancer's FashionBlog said...

Sherin : thanks!

Mothersvea : it's a milkshake actually! But icecream will do to :)

Anonymous 1 : I can try to do it but I'm not sure how to show it in photos; it's quite easy actually and goes well when the hair is just on the verge of needing a wash (like after a day at the beach or so) - take a section of hair and spin it lighlty, make it a loop by rolling it once, or twice for a smaller one, fasten it with a bobby pin. If you make several be careful so that they don't get mixed with one another. It will not look too fancy where the hair is fastened, so cover that part by placing a flower or bow upon it!

Anonymous2: Thanks. I'v been dreaming of peacock tattoos for years too :) If you're short on money you can make it in section, first just the outlines and colour it hit by bit! It really varies what I pay since seomtimes I've made two at once. I've been seeing the same guy for years so that's in my advantage. I payed €200 for this, but we fixed some colours on an old one too.

I'm always unsure of how to compliment tattoos because I once called a Marine's tattoo cute and my husband laughed his ass off at me. But your tattoo really is adorable and perfect for you!

What a collection of treats. I have wanting to get some dry shampoo because now that my fringe is short again, unclean hair tends to be more noticeable. I found a great, super inexpensive brand recommended by a stylist at Sally Beauty Supply (here in the States), but if this works for you, maybe I'll try the Tigi brand instead.

Your swimsuit is divine! And I cannot believe you thrifted that skirt! Seriously?

I was right, you do look stunning in those flowers. :)
Glad you like them. <3
