NECESSITIES
I am not a big fan of decorative objects at home, unless they have a clear practical function (like, bows and pots. Which actually are of the worst kind as they just draw small bits of everything in to them). Or unless they are really, really kitschy.
So when I stumbled upon this wooden poodle painted like a dala horse at a flea market in a town I was having a show in the other week I gave in. And now it sits t the kitchen window sill.
And keeps company to the wooden cat that I also, against my own principles, picked up last year from another flea market.

This window looks so snug with the autumn sun shining through, the lovely yellow checkered curtains and the pretty red geraniums. A bit of kitsch is always allowed.
What a great find, it looks so lovely on your window sill.
